What a fitful start Michael Ignatieff's cross-Canada tour has made, with the tour bus breaking down 100 km outside Ottawa.
With travel plans on hold, the Liberal leader was quoted dismissing the symbolism of this unexpected delay: "Sometimes a bump in the road is just a bump in the road. It's not a metaphor for anything." Hey! try telling that to Joe Clark, after his leadership image got skewed by tales of airline luggage lost in transit.
