The older brother of trans school shooter Jesse Van Rootselaar has been arrested on a Canada-wide warrant for attempted murder less than two weeks after his sibling’s massacre.

Jacob Van Rootselaar, 22, was busted Friday in Sylvan Lake, Alberta in connection to an incident involving an edged weapon in 2024 in the province, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police told CJDC TV.

Police said they had checked in on him earlier this month but he was not at his “approved” residence in Dawson Creek, British Columbia — which was later changed to Tumbler Ridge. ---More...
