Here is something our neighbors to the north might take under consideration. If the citizens of all or part of Canada were to consider breaking free of the liberal population centers of Canada, which are in total control of all Canada, and petition to join the United States, they would not be the first independent nation to do so. Twice in history, independent republics chose to forego independent status and become a state in the United States of America.
In 1845, the Republic of Texas became the 28th state of the United States of America. Then again in in 1850, the Republic of California chose to become the 31st state of the United States of America. These changes seem to have worked out pretty well for both republics.
In short, the idea of Canada becoming a state is not as farfetched as it might seem on the surface. Because of the way our Founding Fathers set up our government, with the House of Representative members based on population, only two Senators from each state, and the Electoral College using a combination of both to elect our president, rural areas of America don’t get totally run over by the urban population centers.
It appears to me, that getting run over by the liberal population centers is the most severe problem Canada has in 2025. If Canada joined the Union, it would have about the same representative status as California in the U.S. federal government.
As I see it, the citizens of Canada and the citizens of the United States are 98% pure interchangeable cultures and values. Our government structures are different, we measure things differently, and of course, Canada does have Quebec.
On the other hand neither Canada nor the USA have nearly as much in common with the rest of the world. In reality, Canada and America are brothers from the same mother and father. The difference is that in 1776 America cut the umbilical cord.
"A Patriot is someone who stands for his country always, and for his government when it is deserved." ~ Mark Twain
When Mark Twain voiced those words he was addressing Americans. However, those words really apply to every country including Canada. Does the current government in Canada deserve the support of Canadian patriots? Only our brothers and sisters in Canada can answer that question.
One of the hardest issues to overcome would be the change in national identity. It would have to become people’s state identity. However, it isn’t as big a deal as one might think. If you don’t believe me, go talk to a lifelong Texan; the Texas Republic is still alive and well.
It seems that Canadian citizens no longer have control of their federal government. It appears that the Davos globalist world domination elites have succeeded in installing Klaus Schwab acolytes in all the key positions in Canada’s liberal government. The liberal Canadian ministers have abdicated Canada’s sovereignty to these tyrannical European elitists. Canada is sliding down that slippery slope toward a greater loss of liberty than she has so far suffered.
Can the upcoming national election in Canada reverse Canada’s course? More important, will this election result in a course reversal? Or is it simply too late and Canadian citizens have already lost their nation?
By the skin of our teeth, America was able to get off the slippery slope the globalists had our nation heading toward a communist-style dictatorship. We the People know that America narrowly dodged a fatal Obama/Biden bullet. We the People of America pray our Canadian brothers and sisters can dodge a similar fatal bullet with their tyrannical government.
As an outsider looking in, I see three options for Canadian citizens.
1. Most likely, in the upcoming election, the liberal population center vote will carry the day and Canada will remain within the globalist sphere of influence with the Canadian government becoming more and more tyrannical.
2. Somehow, in the upcoming election, the liberal government will be rejected and common sense will once more return to the Canadian government controlled by their citizens. This would be the best outcome.
3. Or some of Canada’s provinces could seek political asylum to be welcomed into and become the 51st state of the United States of America as did Texas and California.
Maybe Donald Trump and his genius MAGA team can help, but only if the citizens of Canada ask for our help.
