CNN has issued a retraction for a story questioning the treatment of Pfc. Bradley Manning who has been charged with leaking classified information to WikiLeaks at the Quantico Marine base in Virginia
From CNN:
CNN has retracted a story dealing with questions surrounding the treatment of Pfc. Bradley Manning at the Marine Corp Base Quantico in Virginia. Pentagon spokesman Col. David Lapan said Tuesday that there is no investigation into the decision last week to put Manning, who has been charged with leaking classified government documents to Wikileaks, on suicide watch.
That was it. No reference to what was said in the original story and no apologies for not thoroughly checking the facts of the case. This is just another example of the shoot first ask questions later mentality of the liberal media.
