Back in December 2001, Mcguinty said he did not believe in user fees, but on July 10, 2010, he gave the orders to his Ministries to find new ways to implement user fees and to increase the existing fees; but he says the fees are not a tax, but he had publicly labelled user fees as a tax while in opposition.
Then he said he would not implement new taxes without the consent of the Ontario voters, and not to run a deficit and to abide by the Taxpayer and Balance Budget Act. So I ask you: Has he done this?
Back in 2002, Mcguinty said the Conservative Government under Ernie Eves would raise Health Care Premiums by a thousand dollars a year; but it was Mcguinty who increased the Health care Premium once he got elected by a thousand dollars a year or more. So I ask you: Does Mcguinty speak with a fork tongue?
In Mcguinty's 2003 election platform, he stated there was only one way for the debt to go and that is down, and on Nov 20, 2003, taxes were not on the table; families have enough burden; he would hold public hearings on all major legislation and not go into debt without the approval of Ontarian's in a referendum or a provincial election. Then, on Sept 17, 2007, he says from this day forward he will not raise taxes as we go forward. We all know he broke many of his 2003- 2007 election promises including all of the above, so how can he be trusted in 2011?
Mcguinty also said he would freeze hydro rates until 2006, but what did he do after being elected in 2003? He increased hydro rates almost immediately.
Then, in 2009, Mcguinty says the Green Energy Act will only increase our hydro bill by 1%. Then, later on, he announced our Hydro bills will double by 2030 on top of the 100% increase we all ready got under his leadership, so how can Mcguinty be trusted on anything but higher taxes and hydro rates and higher user fees?
Then we have the secret deal with Samsung in which he states the contents of the deal are being kept secret for intrinsic confidentiality reasons. How do you like that for an answer?

link) to hear this video and, also in this video, Mcguinty says the Ontario Government will save 3 billion dollars a year on health care by closing the coal power plants. So I ask, why is this 3 billion dollars a year in saving not being used to fund this hydro experiment and there would be no need for further hydro rate increases or tax or fee increases. So where is this 3 billion dollars a year going?
Then Mcguinty promises opseu workers a raise after this falls election but the details are being kept secret on how much money this will cost the tax payers and the Liberal government even hired lawyers to try and cover this up. What is more disturbing is Mcguinty's pledge to keep a balance budget or he would take a pay cut when first elected, so I ask you, do we have a balance budget and did Mcguinty take a pay cut?
I can hardly wait to see what Mcguinty promises in his 2011 election platform.
