Poll says Black where he belongs
Give the guy a break
According to the polls, we seem to be indulging in a collective case of schadenfreude regarding the trials and tribulations of Conrad Black.
Black's writings from prison, where he taught illiterate prisoners to read and write, (some of them even reached high- school diploma levels) suggest he has acquired a broader understanding of the hoi polloi. Black is probably not as impressed by all things American, especially its justice system system, as he once was, and likely regrets discarding his Canadian citizenship. Black should be allowed to return home because nothing can change the fact that he is a highly talented Canadian original, whose entrepreneurship has contributed a great deal to Canada in the past and, no doubt, will contribute a lot more in the future. So, give the guy a break. It's the Canadian way. Right?
