Government stops short on brake pads: local CEO

The next time you step on the brake pedal of your car or truck, consider this: Do you know who made your brake pads?

There are no mandatory Canadian standards for replacement brake pads, and "it's a huge problem, because what's happening is that we're getting huge amounts of Chinese product dumped into Canada," declares Rick Jamieson, chief executive of Guelph-based ABS Friction Corp.
