When our quiet urban neighborhood in Savannah, GA., became unsafe and unlike its former self during the Crack Cocaine Era, I found myself with a new calling: that of #grassrootssecurityconsultant to my maternal grandmother and our neighbors across the street, Mrs. Way and Mrs. Dowdy. These ladies were an intelligence network that put government alphabet soup agencies to shame, but they needed help, which is where I came in. It was Black America's cultural implosion which.gave rise to today's malicious Millennials who've pretty much finished this internal demolition.

Long since widowed, these survivors of Jim Crow, the Great Depression, World War Two, Desegregation and the Cold War began to doubt survival prospects as "dopeboys" gunfire and larcenous crack addicts riddled our once calm community. I'd run errands for them and keep an eye out for any one of the surplus of suspicious characters suddenly occupying street corners or lurking around parked cars, houses, between houses and alleys. Ultimately, I did the same for their peer group making up our neighborhood association. I acted as a go-between for a generation that deserved much better than being scared to leave their homes. The safety creation method I share today was born serving the concerns of GrandMa, Mrs. Way and Mrs. Dowdy, my first grassroots security consulting clients.
