A reminder that Americans must never trust that bad ideas once defeated will ever go away
“Green” Tax Provisions Are Wasting Taxpayer Dollars
WASHINGTON D.C. — In response to a recent report by the National Academy of Sciences which called for amore “green” tax provisions, IER Senior Vice President Daniel Kish released the following statement:
“The government’s report on the impact of green energy taxation simply reaffirms what we have been saying for years: the existing programs are a massive waste of taxpayer money with no measurable returns. Their recommended solution – a new carbon tax or carbon dioxide cap and tax program – is simply a reminder that Americans must never trust that bad ideas once defeated will ever go away. We have a government study that recommends a new tax program to give government more money. This ain’t a newsflash.”
