Louisiana Sues New York, California and Massachusetts for Enabling Mail-Order Abortions

The pro-life state of Louisiana wants to hold pro-abortion blue states accountable for enabling mail-order abortions that ship thousands of illegal abortion pills into its borders that kill babies.

Louisiana is moving to halt what Attorney General Liz Murrill calls an organized pipeline of mail-order chemical abortions from shield-law states, starting with planned federal lawsuits against New York and California after those states refused to extradite illegal abortionists charged with sending abortion pills into Louisiana.

Murrill says the fight is about whether New York, California and Massachusetts can use “shield” laws to protect people who mail abortion drugs into a state that has banned elective abortion and chosen to protect unborn children.

“Kathy Hochul and Gavin Newsom are not above the Constitution, and we will hold them accountable,” Murrill said. “The Supreme Court’s precedents on important Constitutional provisions like the Extradition Clause and the Full Faith and Credit Clause forbid this assault on Louisiana’s sovereignty and her citizens.” ---More...

James Talarico Refused to Support Bill to Stop Infanticide

Texas Senate candidate James Talarico refused to support a 2019 Texas bill that would stop infanticide.

He refused to vote for legislation that required doctors to give life-saving medical care to infants born alive after an abortion, a measure pro-life lawmakers said was necessary to stop infanticide.

Talarico, then representing Round Rock and now the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate, recorded his vote as “present, not voting” on House Bill 16, the Texas Born-Alive Infant Protection Act. He did not vote yes to mandate that physicians treat a child who survives an abortion the same way they would treat any other infant born at the same gestational age.

Texas Right to Life gave Talarico a 0 percent pro-life score for the 86th Legislative Session. The group cited his present-not-voting stance on the born-alive bill and his opposition to expanding the state’s Alternatives to Abortion program. ---More...

Canada’s MAID Program Has Euthanized Over 100,000 People

Following the death of a beloved grandmother who was killed without her consent through Canada’s government-run assisted suicide program, public outcry is building against the 10-year-old scheme that has killed over 100,000 Canadians.

In July, the family of 83-year-old Brigitte Stegemann, an assisted living resident in Belleville, Ontario, chronicled their anguish after the beloved grandmother was put to death by a doctor under highly controversial circumstances. Stegemann suffered from cognitive impairment, was hard of hearing, and was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer, although she had been responding well to treatment.

Shortly thereafter, a dispute arose over whether Stegemann had verbally consented to being killed via Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program, in which doctors administer fatal drugs to those who have been diagnosed with terminal illnesses and consent to ending their lives. Even though Stegemann’s family argued that her Christian faith would have stopped her from knowingly agreeing to assisted suicide, the doctor went ahead with the killing in the family’s presence over their objections and without Stegemann verbally consenting to the lethal drugs just prior to them being administered, which is what MAiD regulations technically require. ---More...

Planned Parenthood Now Sells Botox to Subsidize Its Abortion Biz

Planned Parenthood’s largest affiliate has begun selling Botox and other beauty treatments at its centers that also kill babies in abortions, saying revenue shortfalls left it short of the money it needs to stay open.

At least four Planned Parenthood Mar Monte locations in California — including sites in Sacramento, Stockton and nearby towns — now sell Botox injections alongside abortion, birth control and dangerous trans hormones. The Mar Monte affiliate of the Planned Parenthood abortion business oversees 30 centers in mid-California and Nevada.

The affiliate said Medicaid reimbursement for its other business does not provide enough money for the organization to remain stable. Congress’s one-year defunding of Planned Parenthood ended in July, but the organization is still blocked from receiving federal money for abortions. ---More...

Virginia Pro-Lifers Fight Radical Abortion Amendment 1 Week Into Early Voting

Virginia pro-life leaders are pressing voters to reject Ballot Question 1 as early voting continues, warning the proposed constitutional amendment would strip the state of its ability to protect women and unborn children.

Olivia Gans Turner, executive director of the Virginia Society for Human Life, said ballots already being cast will shape whether Virginia can keep laws that protect innocent human life in the womb.

“The polls are open and the votes are being cast that will direct Virginia’s future ability to protect innocent human life in the womb,” Turner said. “Ballot question 1 is the most insidious threat to our right to pass the laws needed to protect women and their children. It is dressed up as a legitimate measure in innocuous language that hides the full effect of adding this amendment to our State Constitution.”

Early in-person voting for the Nov. 3 election began Sept. 18 and continues through Oct. 31. ---More...
