Hello and welcome back to Miz Jud’s Kitchen. I hope this finds all of you well and happy. I would like to wish each and every one of you Happy Valentine Day, and we hope that you have a great one!
As for “What’s his name” and I, we used to try and celebrate Valentine’s Day, but we came to realize every time we did, somehow we always seem to get in a fuss. It could be over the silliest thing, but somehow, just on Valentine’s Day, we (HE) could find something to gripe about! Flowers would always wind up in the trash, but now that I’m thinking back about it, the candy never would. I wonder if “What’s his name” had anything to do with that? So, now we just let it pass like any other day. That just seems to work out best for us. But that has nothing at all to do with my birthday, or Christmas either! You just let him let slip up and not remember those! Bad mistake… bad, bad mistake! On this one particular Valentine’s Day, “What’s his name” came home with flowers in hand. I had a special dinner planned for us as well. I’d cooked all day as a matter of fact, his favorites too, by the way. Oh yea, you got it, he came in the door, flowers in hand, late for our dinner, opened his mouth as usual, and there went them flowers! Takin’ a page from Dub’s usual descriptive self…IT WAS ON! I do hope that each and every one of you have a great Valentine’s Day, as for us, I believe we will also… because we’ll just let it pass! I would like to share a few things with you today and I hope it may be helpful to you. You know Dub and I started picking up a few extra groceries when we go to town, and you may not have thought about it, but we also pick up extra soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. I don’t know about you, but it seems like it goes up every other week, and you can’t buy it today for what you paid for it a week ago. I hope this might help you and give you something to think about, so until next time, keep a smile on your face and one in your heart! May God Bless each and every one of you, and God Bless America too! Here is a little tip that might help when you cook hamburgers. After you patty them out, take your finger and poke a hole in the middle, it will cook faster, plus the hole will disappear while cooking. If it doesn’t disappear all the way, don’t worry about it, because I’ve seen the holes in Dub’s burgers disappear in just a matter of seconds…if you get my drift! I’d like to say once more we sure appreciate you all stopping by to visit with us in Miz Jud’s Kitchen. Your comments we’ve received have all been so kind in your words, and the information you’ve shared is so appreciated by us one and all! God Bless! Deb

‘Ridin Out The Recession With Dub and Deb in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen’!

Note to Readers: There are a few things that Dub doesn’t know but one thing he does know is that the word ‘Riding’ (as in Riding Out the Recession) is spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.  But Dub not only walks the walk, but speaks like he is: down home, true blue, and plain speakin’ country folk.

Dub and Deb are both native Floridians, live in Central Florida, and run a small business as well. They have five children, and seven grandchildren.

Both love to cook, love to laugh, grow a garden, and generally try to “aggravate” most anyone around them basically…all in good fun, of course!
