Maybe this is a question we need to consider: At what point does your First Amendment right to protest cross the line into basic criminality? But there really isn't all that much to consider, is there? You're within your rights to express your opinion as long as you're not breaking laws or causing havoc in the process. When you're physically blocking a highway and making it impossible for ingress and egress to proceed as normal on a public road, I'd say at that point you're nothing but a nuisance to society - and the only place for you at that point is jail.
But Chicago upped the ante when it came to anti-Donald Trump protests. It's now not enough to merely voice disapproval with Trump or with his intention to speak in your community. Now, anything else that a ruckus sufficient to cancel Trump's rally renders you a failure - a huge disappointment to the cause.View Comments
