Hillary: $400 Million in cash to Iran against the wishes of the DOJ and hidden from Congress? That's 'Old News'

There's absolutely nothing shady about the Obama administration's decision to award $1.7 Billion in taxpayer dollars to the terrorist state of Iran. That's been the word from U.S. officials ever since it was announced that the payout would be on top of the $150 Billion that was released as part of Kerry and Obama's "agreement" that places the Iranian regime on the path to a nuclear weapon. So, when they load hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign currency onto an unmarked plane and hand it over to our enemies in what looks suspiciously like a ransom payout, you're not supposed to ask questions.

As the Washington Free Beacon has learned, that goes for Congress too.

The Obama administration took steps to withhold from lawmakers the details of a $400 million cash payout to Iran and continues to rebuke inquiries from Congress for information about how another $1.3 billion in taxpayer funds was awarded to the Islamic Republic, according to multiple conversations with congressional sources apprised of the matter. U.S. officials familiar with the recent transfer of $400 million in hard currency to Iran withheld details of the exchange from Congress during briefings in classified and unclassified settings, the Washington Free Beacon has learned. The disclosure threatens to complicate efforts by the administration to downplay new reports detailing how U.S. officials used an unmarked aircraft to transfer $400 million in “pallets of cash” to Iran on the same day it freed several U.S. hostages.

So stop pestering your betters with your insolent nitpicking! Oh, and ignore the fact that the DOJ objected to the whole scheme, because they feared the world would view the money transfer precisely the way it's now being viewed.

Senior U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) officials objected to sending $400 million in cash to Iran at the same time as the country released American prisoners, the Wall Street Journal has revealed. According to the WSJ's report on Wednesday, the DOJ's objection - that the money would be seen as a ransom payment - was overruled by the State Department.

Donald Trump is pouncing on the story, reminding everyone that the whole thing started when Hillary was in charge of the State Department, even if the payout and hostage situation occurred after her tenure had ended. So what does Hillary say?

She says you should ignore it all. It's "old news" and not really worth her attention. Sure "the agreement" gave Iran access to over $150 Billion dollars which the Obama administration has admitted they'll probably use to fund terrorism, but Hillary says it "makes us safer." ...And this woman is currently the nominal favorite to be the next President of the United States.
