Hillary has been wrongly maligned by her conservative enemies for years. That's the only explanation she can offer for why people might not trust her. Horrible, unjust, troglodytes have built entire careers leveling unsubstantiated attacks against her and her husband. It's all part of a coordinated effort to portray the presidential hopeful as a liar, and erode voter support. ...It's the return of the 'vast right-wing conspiracy.'
That's the message from Hillary Clinton, who says that she believes the voters will see through all of the animosity because, deep down, they know what a wonderful, trustworthy, person she really is.
Oh sure this "theme," as Hillary calls it, only exists thanks to her 30-year litany of painfully obvious lies, but still it's just so unfair.
For the record, Hillary's assertion that people "do trust me" is yet another provable falsehood. Yeah, there are a few prog zealots out there who are still willing to swallow her tripe, but there's no doubt the majority views her - shall we say - skeptically.
As CNN reported in June:
"A growing number of people say she is not honest and trustworthy (57%, up from 49% in March), less than half feel she cares about people like them (47%, down from 53% last July) and more now feel she does not inspire confidence (50%, up from 42% last March)."
"The Post-ABC poll shows just 41 percent think she is honest and trustworthy -- a number that has continued to fall amid her e-mail controversy and other issues."
....I wonder if her campaign manager still trusts her...
