'Hood Mentality Sets the Stage For Confrontation

Just like another Brother who kept riding loud illegal dirt bike until killed by apartment worker:

'Hood mentality's lack of respect for boundaries sets the stage for confrontations, as people are enraged by unnecessary risk or annoyance imposed upon them around where they live.

I recently combated it last year in the form of loiterers and trespassers I'd chase away at my old place.

The shooting by the ICE agent seems be upheld as self defense while the one involving the apartment worker is deemed a murder case.

I understand the rage at the peace being routinely disturbed by the 'hood mentality but the law doesn't recognize this as valid for deadly force.

Both cases illustrate dire consequences when those afflicted with the 'hood mentality feel they can do what they want without consequences- until consequences arrive with terminal finality.

Most people just suffer in silence .

Some don't.

Elected politicians and ones wearing police uniforms tell neighbors and businesses that loitering, trespassing, noise ordinance violations, illegal operation of loud dirt bikes or ATVs in city limits and firing weapons in the air near occupied structures on holidays aren't threats to public safety or quality of life.

Enablers waste political capital on those afflicted by the 'hood mentality who don't vote, don't donate to campaigns but are nonetheless catered to like royalty.

Simmering resentment at having concerns ignored leads to unnecessary confrontations when a resident has had enough.

A better option is issuing prompt citations and arrest of persons who can't respect other's boundaries.

Residents have to step it up too. They must stop suffering in silence.

The 'hood mentality thrives on dominating the vicinity.

Vicinities have to be reclaimed by residents who advocate for themselves and demand action from local officials.

Allowing neighborhoods to be ruled by their least respectful members flatters those afflicted with 'hood mentality while encouraging escalation into major property crime and violence—a cycle seen nationwide.
