Many of America's disturbing social trends are also unfolding in European countries. In Ireland, for example, instead of acknowledging the beauty and necessity of motherhood, neoliberal forces are pressuring future mothers to prioritize their corporate overlords instead of their families and trying to remove women from their Constitution.

"There seems to be a growing disconnect between what the people on the ground want and what official Ireland, you know, the elites in power and the official media, tell them they should want. And I think we're particularly vulnerable to outside influence because of the structure of our government."
