Nadra Enzi's Interview With RingSide Politics' Jeff Crouere Regarding Bourbon St. Terror Attack

In New Orleans, Every Day Is An 'Event' To Be Secured.

I just posted on x:

'Citing local 'resilience ' is fine Drill down on responsibility to deter, detect and disrupt crime/terror too.

For nearly 20 years, I've noted and navigated around lax attitudes in public/private sectors toward denying violent traitors, targets.

Behind shaking holds top priority.

And remains so, along with making money off of behind shaking, no matter the human cost.

So many mass shootings, robberies, car thefts and car break-ins have event connections but no coverage as in staged security (private or police) to disrupt aggression.

This isn't Mayberry (the sleepy town in the 'Andy Griffith Show').

Security structures, screening and sentinels (and prepared patrons) are absolute must-have elements of responsible event planning and protection.

Not some of the time, but all of the time because in a seized city like this, every day and each area is an 'event to be secured'.

Local powers that be, and a permissive percentage of the public, allowed laxness in security to be considered 'culture' for too long, with far too many human losses rationalized away.

Global scrutiny after the Bourbon St. terror attack has exposed this lackadaisical attitude for all to see, and with a national security event like the SuperBowl coming, demands to do better will be deafening.

Laxness can't continue in a destination city as unsafe as this one under normal circumstances--and definitely not during this time of unprecedented political tension.

Interview starts at the 43:10 Mark
