According to the piece on their website, the attacker frequented ISIS propaganda websites and may have lived in the Middle East for some time. Toronto suspect's kin say he was mentally ill

The family of the suspect in the deadly Toronto mass shooting says he suffered from severe mental health problems, but relatives "could never imagine that this would be his devastating and destructive end." Faisal Hussain's family expressed condolences in a statement Monday. It said the family was "utterly devastated by the incomprehensible news" that the 29-year-old was responsible for the rampage.-- More...
