Leafs Lament

We Lonesome Leafs Are Shocked And Awed
By The Myriad Media Stings,
Like Chesterton's Hapless Donkey, We Are
Seen As Splay-footed Things.
Fools! We Once Were Champions In A
Shining Time So Sweet, When The Cheering
Echoed Far-and-wide From Our Shrine On
Carlton Street.
Some Day We Will Be Champs
Again, On That You Can Rely, And We'll Chill
Our Lowly Critics Out And Kiss Them All Goodbye.
