If you thought the eco tax was bad when McGuinty threw a extra fee on about 10 thousand products on top of the HST tax July 1st you have seen nothing yet. Yes he did suspend the eco tax for 90 days till he can re invent again but this is just the beginning of these extra taxes he calls fees as he has given the order to all his ministries to pursue new cost-recovery fees and to increase existing fees if possible.

As he reminds ministry budget crunchers that they have “an opportunity to make requests for establishing new revenue streams and/or significant redesigns to existing fees. Ministries were also told the public should be charged a “premium” for using electronic kiosks. This could result in the total fee charged being higher than the fee to deliver the same service over the counter.” Mcguinty says these fees are not a tax. These new fees are a extra charge to the consumer and consumers call it a tax we will see what it is called at election time. The consumer will get hit hard on every thing they buy and here is a prime example on what he has done. On a $99.00 computer monitor I paid $13.00 HST then I paid a further $12.25 ON ENVFEE which is a extra $25.25 on the cost of the product which will force people to buy in Quebec or Manitoba or the States if they can. But then we would be just following in McGuintys foot steps when he did not buy Ontario or Canadian or even American when he signed the 7 billion dollar contract to Korea for the wind mill power plant.
