"So here's the point; I want everyone to listen to this. I have gone above and beyond what was requested by the very Republicans who said they supported broader reform as long as we got serious about enforcement. All the stuff they asked for, we've done. Even though we've answered these concerns, I guess there's still gonna' be some tryin' to move the goal posts on us one more time. Ya' know, they said we need to triple the Border Patrol ... or now they're gonna' say we need to quadruple the Border Patrol ... or they'll want a higher fence; maybe they'll need a moat .. Maybe they'll want alligators in the moat... they'll never be satisfied."What did he say? Did he say anything of substance? I didn't hear anything worth hearing. Did he say that the US Border was secure? No! Why should we be satisfied with Drug Cartels, Criminals, and Illegal Aliens of all stripes coming willy-nilly across the Mexican Border to befoul rancher citizens' private property, to steal and butcher livestock, to kill people who get in their way and murder Border Patrol Agents because Eric Holder's DEA supplies bad guys with guns? Duh... that's right Mr. Hero President. We won't be satisfied until the border is secure. What part of acting stupid do you enjoy the best! This is typical, is it not unlike the harangues one might expect from a tin-pot dictator who has no plan to serve and protect his country, only enemies whom he can mock and harass! Here is a foretaste of the election feast to come folks. A recent Breitbart clip following the passage of ObamaCare by "reconciliation" [aka Democracy by Democrat Decree] showed Obama strutting like a little "banty" rooster crowing and mocking his GOP opponents. He makes no statements of substance only accusations and taunts. He states he will fight repeal of ObamaCare mockingly saying not to worry, "granny is safe." In order to trivialize the Birth Certificate questions of his own making, he referred to Donald Trump as a "carnival barker." You see, Trump made him show and tell. Trump called out the Great Oz. Obama has been diminishing Donald Trump every chance he gets, ever since. No one dares question the Great Oz without being characterized by his media cronies, race-baiter friends, and political pundit-thugs as "racist" or as "stupid Birthers" or as an ignorant "Tea Partier." And what has been the response of the Grand Old Party? I fear we are being set up for another Bob Dole or John McCain candidate who will bow and scrape politely while being slapped around. The establishment GOP Whimp Candidate [Whig + wimp] will be certain to remain the picture of politeness at all costs, so as not to offend so-called Independent , or cultural and ethnic minorities. Memo to GOP: Take off the gloves. Make your case. Punch back when punched. We are all grown-ups out here. Barack Obama is nothing more than a teenage bully who surrounds himself with mouthpieces and protection. Obama calls the names, others call the shots. Take away the teleprompter and let him talk off the cuff and America will see that he is a thin skinned, ill-informed and petty man. By the way: What ever happened to, "It's the economy, stupid?" I marvel every day that we can have unemployment increase from 8.8% to 9%, yet somehow Obama and his minions say we are adding rather than losing jobs in our country. Liars and propagandists use statistics and sophistry most creatively as a one-two punch ... must be the Orwellian New Math. It's nothing new. FDR was a master at communicating in this fashion. But FDR was a master communicator who needed no teleprompter. FDR was not deep into economics, but he was a practical man. FDR may not may have understood one chart that John Maynard Keynes showed him that day in 1934. Roosevelt did not seem to comprehend Keynes' theories. "He left a whole rigmarole of figures," Roosevelt complained to his labor secretary, Frances Perkins, according to her memoir. "He must be a mathematician rather than a political economist." Keynes left equally disenchanted, telling Ms. Perkins that he had "supposed the president was more literate, economically speaking." What FDR did grasp was that he now had a prominent economist who supported massive stimulus and endless Federal spending and endless growth of government as a solution to economic problems in the private sector. In other words, FDR could now manipulate and control the private sector under the guise of rescuing us from "fear itself." I ran across an article about the Great Depression written in July 2005. I was looking for a historical parallel or similarity to our current economic mess. Retired Naval Officer, E. Royce White, wrote in his Bloggy Bayou article from 2009 a great little piece about the "double dip" Depression of 1938. It makes for interesting reading and struck a chord or three. Within this piece he also suggests that we listen to FDR's Easter 1938 Fireside Chat. To summarize the chat, FDR claimed that unemployment had reduced consumer demand, hence unemployment was climbing. What a perfectly reasonable sounding tautology. So pay attention now and tell me who this sounds like. FDR proposed the following points to fight the new 1937 Depression. They are to this day the same old solutions that that Democrats invariably propose:
"We are spending more money than we have ever spent before and it does not work. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get jobs. We have never made good on our promises. I say after eight years of this administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started and an enormous debt to boot."So how is Obama doing? Unemployment stand at 9% officially. Perhaps a better measure might be public assistance. A readily available benchmark might be food stamps. How does 14% unemployment or under-employment sound? One in Seven Americans Rely on Food Stamps. But let anyone rise up and stand in the way of President Obama, and they become fodder for a pack of sympathetic media-hyenas, race-baiters, celebrities, and avowed socialist luminaries at home and abroad. At least the Press was still the Press back in the FDR era. If the public buys into the this old, new style of Democrat campaigning, Obama will just maybe be re-elected. Think about that for a while. If that happens, then get used to the mocking and the ridicule boys and girls. The Obama Bullies are also charge of determining who the bullies are.
