Back in the '80s, there used to be a fat guy named Al Sharpton who would roam around New York in a track suit, inciting racial violence wherever he could. If memory serves, his name was attached to repeated rioting, a truly disgusting rape hoax, the use of the term "white interloper," and the murder of seven people in Harlem. He apologized, vanished in the mid 1990's, and no one seems to know what became of him.
These days, MSNBC has a host named Al Sharpton. This guy appears to be a well-manicured elder statesman who enjoys expensive suits, so I'm assuming they're not the same person. MSNBC's version of Al Sharpton is a "news analyst" who's buddy-buddy with the Obama administration and never misses an opportunity to trumpet the official party line. In fact, the Washington Free Beacon recently put together a video that will make you wonder just who, exactly, is writing Sharpton's material.

No wonder the modern reincarnation of Al Sharpton thinks Barack Obama's likeness belongs on Mount Rushmore. The President is his show's head writer!
