On October 3, 1995, 12 jurors shocked the world by acquitting defendant OJ Simpson of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. On that dreadful morning, Judge Lance Ito had no choice but to order Simpson released "forthwith," ending 473 days in custody. Simpson left the courtroom and immediately began looking for the real killer. Not surprisingly, OJ's search did not produce any results, except when he gazed into a mirror. Thirteen years later to the day , criminal justice finally arrived in the life of OJ Simpson. Without the "dream team" to wrangle on his behalf, Simpson was convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery and 10 other charges.
Upon rendering of the verdicts, OJ Simpson was handcuffed and taken into custody. Sentencing could put OJ behind bars for the rest of his life. Lady justice ultimately prevailed, but did she take so long?
