The Ontario Landowners Association today praised the Jaworski family for winning a key victory for the rights of land owners.
“Marta and Lech Jaworksi showed you can fight City Hall and win. Sometimes you just need the courage to stand up to bullying bureaucrats,” says OLA president DeborahMadill. Madill was reacting to the news that officials in Clarington, Ontario were dropping charges against the Jaworskis, who had been facing a massive fine because they hosted the Liberty Summer Seminar on their rural property. The Canadian Constitution Foundation was helping to defend the Jaworkis in court. “The charge against the Jaworskis was ridiculous,” says Madill. “As the CCF made clear in its planned defence, banning the LSS would infringe on the Jaworksis’s right to freedom of assembly.” Madill notes the OLA was proud to help the Jaworskis publicize their battle. “It’s good to see landowners win a case like this,” says Madill. “It should encourage others who are also batting to protect their rights. The Ontario Landowners Association shall defend and promote the principal of strong local governments, democracy, and natural justice and represent the interests of the rural community.

For Rural Ontario to survive, Property Rights and judicial reform must be enshrined into law at all three levels of Government, these being; Federal, Provincial, and Municipal.

Rural Ontario is under systematic attack by government bureaucracy and false environmentalism.

The Ontario Landowners have and will continue to expose and meet these threats with determination and resolve in the court of public opinion.
