There are a lot of people out there worried about the COVID-19 virus. However, while the media is fanning the flames of hysteria, the United States economy and the American people are taking the hit. Let’s look at some facts.

A loss in over 3 trillion dollars on the Stockmarket, negatively effecting everyday Americans IRAs and 401ks

The United States has been through many viruses that seemed deadly and uncontrollable, yet we survived them all without Marshal Law being announced. The Swine Flu, in 2009 and 2010, was responsible for infecting 60 million people, hospitalizing approximately 300,000 people. President Obama was not concerned until the death toll hit 1,000. Of that number, 100 were children. The media was basically quiet and did nothing but sing Obama’s praises over his last minute jump into the fray. However, we had no forced closures, mandated isolation or economic disaster. The CDC estimates that from October 1, 2019 to March 7, 2020, there have been 36,000,000 to 51,000,000 (million) flu illnesses, 17,000,000 to 24,000,000 (million) medical visits, 370,00-670,000 flu hospitalizations and 22,000-55,000 flu deaths. However, even with these unbelievable numbers, no media panic ensued. As of today, the CDC has reported on the total cases of COVID-19 at 3,487. Total deaths from the virus are currently at 68. Of the cases in the US, 46 were from the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship. The result? A loss in over 3 trillion dollars on the Stockmarket, negatively effecting everyday Americans IRAs and 401ks. The loss of paychecks and freedom of movement. The closure of all schools public and private and the shut down of all colleges and universities, the destruction of an untold number of small businesses, the shattering of the hospitality business and the airlines, empty grocery store shelves and the worst? No toilet paper to be found.

Why all the hysteria now?

Why all the hysteria now? Let’s look at Hong Kong. The protestors took to the streets in June of 2019 against plans to allow extradition to China. On October 1, China was celebrating 70 years of the Communist Party rule and as a result, Hong Kong experienced one of its most violent days of protests. An 18 year old was shot and the Chinese government banned protesters from wearing face masks. Protests supporting the Hong Kong movement, waving the American flag, spread rapidly across the globe. Chinese president, Xi Jinping announced that any attempt to divide China would end in “bodies smashed and bones ground to powder.” In December, the world discovered that China was dealing with an epidemic; the Coronavirus. The media interest in Hong Kong protestors disappeared almost overnight as quarantines were enforced. China claimed the virus came from an open market, yet many believe the deadly virus may have originated in a laboratory in Wuhan linked to a biological weapons program. Now, the Chinese state media, escalating the war of words over COVID-19 have raised the Spector of using Beijing’s pharmaceutical leverage to block critical components and supplies for dependent U.S. drug companies, and send American into “The chill of a novel Coronavirus epidemic." Meanwhile in the United States, after the demise of the Russia Investigation and the Mueller report, findings of deceit and spying within the FBI and the Democratic Party are discovered. Before they can be investigated or held accountable, accusations began to surface, and eventually screams of “Impeachment,” by Democrats. Yet another attempt by the Democratic Party to negate the 2016 election and destroy the Trump Administration. Led by Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler, Democrats spent months and millions of taxpayer dollars ($38 million to be exact) accusing President Trump of a “quid pro quo,” with Ukraine, even though transcripts released by the president showed none. While Democrats were, once again, defeated in their attempt to oust a legally elected official, President Trump continued to garner support for his hard work in creating the most successful US economic atmosphere in the history of the country.

Mainstream media, then began to fan the flames of an impending recession in order to scare Americans and destroy the economy from within. Even Bill Maher jumped on board, claiming he was rooting for an economic disaster in order to oust President Trump. Was the media outraged by Mahar’s comments? No, they agreed and spent weeks pushing an upcoming recession montage. With the unemployment rate for all Americans hitting the lowest in history, and the stock market achieving over $3 trillion dollars in profits for 401k’s and IRA’s everywhere, Democrats hit a brick wall. With a total failure in succeeding to destroy our strong economy and offering no viable candidates for the 2020 election, we saw the COVID-19 virus take over the air waves. Democrats, immediately began blaming President Trump for the outbreak and along with their mainstream media lap dogs, proceed to create hysteria among the people. Now, with shutdowns, school closings and in some cases state emergencies declared, we all watch in horror as the economy tanks, and businesses are going down in flames. We no longer have access to our elected officials nor can we legally assemble during one of the most important presidential election seasons in history. While President Trump easily attracts hundreds of thousands of people at his rallies, now cancelled, Democratic hopefuls, Biden, who can’t seem to even remember his name or the office for which he is running, and Sanders, a self professed socialist who praises the leadership of Cuba for educating his people before he slaughtered them, can’t seem to come close in numbers. Now, their debates, seen as comedic entertainment are held in front of empty seats, and Trump’s rallies are no more. It seems the only people losing in this horrific virus infested, political and economic mess, are the American people. We sit at home, in isolation, fearful for our lives, unable to work, unable to pay the bills and hope that when this fiasco is over that we have jobs to return to and any money left in the bank for retirement. Who are the winners in this pandemic? No one, but it appears there might be a few players who could benefit from it.
