Petri Dishes of Destruction of the American Way

I recently listened to a discussion regarding the Trump administration defunding of the Ivy League universities. The focus was regarding the impact on meaningful scientific research. Although this discussion had some valid points, they completely failed to grasp the bigger problem with these schools and the vast majority of colleges and universities nationwide.

The only tool the United States government has to punish these wayward colleges and universities is control of government funding

For the last 60 years, America’s socialist-dominated colleges and universities have been petri dishes fermenting attacks on truth, justice, and the American way of life. The American colleges and universities ceased being educational institutions as they morphed into centers for socialist indoctrination holding that America and free enterprise were bad in every way. This is being done even while the professors preaching this garbage are getting rich and living the good life because of the very system they are denigrating.

Most of these socialist academic bubble residents have no life experience outside of academia and have absolutely no real life experience living under socialist rule. These socialist bubblehead masters of destruction know only the theory of socialism and refuse to acknowledge the failures of socialism wherever it has ever been tried. These same college and university bubbleheads and their brainwashed minions are like a petri dishes fermenting hatred of Jews and support for the barbaric 6^th century Islamists Hamas Palestinians that slaughtered over a thousand people from several nations, including America, on October 7, 2023.

The only tool the United States government has to punish these wayward colleges and universities is control of government funding. When one considers that the result of any research done by these schools usually benefits private sector companies, such as Big Pharma, is there any valid reason for government subsidies? Perhaps 75 years ago these schools needed federal government support. However, looking at the financial position of these schools in 2025, they are extremely well-funded outside of government support.

Shaking academia to its very foundations

In the context of this article, it means that if these schools take federal money, they are expected to abide by the standards of the current American government’s values. This is shaking academia to its very foundations because for half a century they have never been held accountable before. Previous administrations and Congress have failed to enforce any kind of standard. Well folks, there is a new sheriff in town and fiscal neglect has ended.

From my perspective, colleges and universities are now big businesses very capable of standing alone without taxpayer’s subsidies. There is absolutely no justification for taxpayers to continue funding institutions that maintain staffs that want to destroy traditional America and the Constitution of the United States of America. It is far past time for these institutions to be full participants in the free enterprise system and get off the golden teat of the federal government. Good institutions will thrive, while poor institutions will fall by the wayside, as they should.

As always, socialist institutions will run out of other people’s money and the socialist academics will learn first-hand lessons about why socialism doesn’t work and ultimately fails. These petri dishes for the destruction of the American way must be sterilized.
