Political Books Covering “Charlie” Trudeau, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, And One on Justin Trudeau.

My shelves include five thin paperback books altogether covering politics from 1968 to the latest, published in 2019.

The earliest is “TRUDEAU A MAN FOR TOMORROW”, written by Douglas Stuebing et al. Published in 1968 it dotes on Trudeau’s presence and intelligence.

A few years earlier, America, all too briefly, celebrated John F. Kennedy’s charm and charisma. So, a few years later, Canada celebrated “Trudeaumania”.

Not fully understanding the menace of a “mania”.

The back cover acclaims Trudeau’s life, his social conscience, his political debut, his
brilliant and, to most Canadians, his unexpected success

Generally, the book fawns on the man that became, internationally, a very charismatic figure. Canada’s rebellious version of JFK.

One book is “NONE DARE CALL IT CONSPIRACY”. Published by Gary Allen in 1971, the back cover includes: “I wish that every country in the free world and every slave behind the Iron Curtain might read this book”. That’s from a former Secretary of Agriculture.

Another one from the cover is by the then head of the FBI: “admirable job of amassing information to prove that communism is socialism and a socialism (a plot to enslave the world) is not a movement of the downtrodden but a scheme supported and directed by the wealthiest of people”.

The iniquity is now inspiring another popular reform movement.

In reviewing the “haves”, the Trudeau family has been wealthy for a long time. PET’s father, in 1932 sold his business for 1.4 million dollars.

Indeed, and over the three generations, the Trudeau regard for the petroleum industry has been fascinating.

Pierre’s father, Charles-Emile, “Charlie”, (1887 – 1945) can be described as the founding father. A practicing lawyer, he had built a business that by 1932 had 30 service stations as well as a supporting Automobile Owners Association, with some 15,000 members.

In 1933, he sold his portion of the business, which in today’s dollars amounts to $29 million.

The petroleum industry provides an interesting theme for the three Trudeaus.

Charlie made the family fortune in delivering needed petroleum products.

Recently, Premier Danielle Smith of Alberta stated that Pierre stole the province’s oil fields’ energy with his “National Energy Program” of 1980, It was essentially communism. And lately she notes that Justin is just plain out to destroy it—perhaps nihilism is the movement?

Of the methods –market forces or coercion--why is JT so impractical? Adamantly so, as his key role is to represent the World Economic Forum’s dictates to all Canadians. He and his government are not in the House to be accountable to the people. Regrettably, this formula requires the people to be subservient to the “all-knowing and all-powerful” government.

Guided by the WEF.

A nephew of a long-time family friend is David Morrison, who I’ve been acquainted with for some thirty years.

For the past few years, he has been a special advisor to Trudeau. His CV states that his role is to advise and represent the prime minister in Foreign Affairs, but as I understand, he is there to keep JT on the WEF message.

With the surge of Ottawa-generated inflation, basic economic conditions have been seriously deteriorating. But Justin is compelled to waste the country’s taxes to “save” the planet. For the first time in a billion years of climate history, warming is declared as “Bad”. And JT has declared CO2 as threatening, which can only be eased by increasing taxes and regulations.

All a front to command fealty to state power.

And this he has done for months during the unusually hard times of Inflation. But the very articulate Leader of the Opposition strongly criticized the government during question period. And until recently Trudeau’s response was that carbon taxes had to be increased. Motivation was a pathetic bleat about “Global Warming”.

Thereby threatening the country to save the planet.

And the tout never has been, is not now nor in the future will it ever be a real issue.

Climate Hysteria has been a doctrine of contrived fear to enable an inordinate increase in taxes and controlling regulations.

In other essays, I’ve summed this up as the: “In-your-face-and-in-your-wallet” gambit.

It has not been amazing that so many governments went for the ploy, but it has been amazing that so many, outside of government fell for the scam. And with authoritarianism now commanding fewer and fewer adherents, the hard message about “Global Warming” and CO2 is fading fast.

As exciting as the new reform is, this article is about some older books.

One, published in 1975, is RED MAPLE by Kenneth McDonald. The cover notes include: “The book traces the phenomenal growth of government from the early sixties to its logical conclusion—complete control of Canada’s economy”.

Another is “BILINGUAL TODAY, FRENCH TOMORROW” by J. V. Andrew, published in 1977.

Andrew was a Lieutenant Commander in Canada’s Armed Forces and PET’s drive was that: “every city, town and village …(will) become French-speaking and French controlled”.

Of course, this has been part of a lengthy authoritarian experiment, that I have called a Tyrannical Century. Each has recorded chronic inflation to fund chronic warfare—against neighboring countries as well as against the state’s own citizens.

There have been three such “Tyrannicals”, with the first afflicting the magnificence of Rome. The political phenomenon climaxed with intense inflation late in the Third Century.

Showing the deliberate rot, a 5-gram coin containing 50% silver was debased to 3 grams weight with only 1% silver. Eventually to just a “wash” of silver.

The next Tyrannical ran through the 1500s, when the control freaks corrupted the Church into a murderous police state.

The reform that began in the early 1600s is best followed in England, resulting in the
“Glorious Revolution” of 1688.

Our Tyrannical began in the early 1900s and with today’s ramping up of inflation is showing the signs of maxing out now.

The key has been that each completed with a dramatic rise in prices that inevitably fails bringing down a Duplex of Cards. Duplex, rather than House, referring to both the economy and authoritarian government.

A global recession is underway and as it becomes more acute, it will likely inspire serious popular reform.

Tax revenues will shrink and the doors could close on inflation as a means to fund the bureaucracy.

Oh yes, the last book in our review is: “WHY TRUDEAU IS A GREAT LEADER”. Published in 2019, each page has the title at the top and is otherwise blank.
