Rappin’ on patrol: Wyandotte, Michigan police Two things: First, they did it all on their own time and used no taxpayer dollars, so don’t even start with me about that. Second, it may very well be that no one at the Wyandotte PD is aware of any rap song apart from Ice, Ice Baby, which only makes this that much more awesome.

OK, a third thing: I was honored some months back to write a story for Wyandotte Today magazine (I’m sleeping with the editor) about the late and much beloved Detective Jay Sharpes, to whom this video is dedicated. If you’re going to get arrested, Wyandotte is the place to go: If you ever visit Metro Detroit, Wyandotte is a great place to spend some time. It’s got a charming downtown area and lots of picturesque spots along the southern portion of the Detroit River. I live further north in Royal Oak but I also enjoy getting down to Wyandotte. And as we now know, Wyandotte cops can do some serious rapping.
