The Galapagos Islands are isolated in their geographic destination, but still popular for international travellers. The most direct travel into the Islands is through connecting flights from Quito and Guayaquil on mainland Ecuador. The Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito or theJosé Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport in Guayaquil offer daily flights to Baltra Island or San Cristóbal Island. You can then find transport from the airport directly to your previously booked cruise or hop onto public transportation to be taken to your hotel. Sailing adventures will begin from various port locations in the Islands, depending on the choice of travel organization.
