Section 230 Does Not Protect Sex Trafficking—Lawyer Lisa Haba on Lawsuit

Twitter is being sued for refusing to remove a video of alleged child sex abuse from its platform. According to the lawsuit, a child was coerced by sex traffickers to record sex acts with another minor. A video of this was later posted on Twitter. When he asked for the video to be removed, Twitter allegedly said it “didn’t find a violation of our policies, so no action will be taken at this time.” It was only when the Department of Homeland Security stepped in that it was finally removed. In this episode, we sit down with attorney Lisa Haba. The case was jointly filed by The Haba Law Firm, The Matiasic Firm, and The National Center on Sexual Exploitation Law Center (NCOSE).
