Wikipedia bills itself as “the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.” In reality, it’s a bureaucratic mess dominated by a small clique of established editors who exploit their position to bully, smear, and intimidate anyone who challenges their authority. Their latest target is David Auerbach, a highly regarded technology columnist for Slate and a fellow at the New America Foundation.
