Smoke and Mirrors

As I was watching recent interviews of Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Socialist of America Senatorial candidate from Michigan, and Angie Nixon, the Democratic Socialist of America Senatorial candidate from Florida (both nominally a Democrat on the ballot), they both demonstrated an interesting characteristic. Neither of these candidates have a clue about specific issues associated with governing the United States of America.

Then there is N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas, the Democratic Socialist of America (also a Democrat on the ballot) Senatorial candidate from Oklahoma, and the video of her entering a room, tearing it up, then cutting out a picture of her opponent and generally behaving like a twelve-year-old. How can such a person be taken seriously?

When asked what the national debt was, the best Nixon could do was “a lot.” El-Sayed could not say what the cost of things he proposes might be. These know-nothing clowns are going to try to coast on into the Senate using the same “smoke and mirrors” strategy that Mamdani used in New York City. The clown-like antics in their videos clearly worked to win the Democratic primaries. However, state-wide voters will not be impressed with anything less than substance.

Like the Democrat Party, all these DSA candidates around the nation have no plan and can only spew communist platitudes and vague promises of free stuff. Gladly for America, but sadly for them, what got Mamdani elected in New York City is already falling apart because platitudes and promises do not constitute an ability to perform. Mamdani’s free buses failed. Mamdani’s city run grocery stores are unlikely to happen because New York City market owners are suing his ass. Communism is already failing in New York City. Well, ain’t that a surprise?

It would seem that knowledge and substance are no longer necessary qualities for DSA (aka Democrat) political candidates. Smoke and mirrors, platitudes and promises, lies and deception, and clown-like video performances will only get the job done with the useful idiot generations that are victims of the communist controlled American “education” system. Entertainment has replaced Kennedy’s “discomfort of thought.” Therein lies the difference between people who have learned how to think as opposed to people who were taught what to think. When the latter outnumbers the former, America, the free world, and western civilization are in deep, deep trouble.

There is one immutable truth; we will have the government we deserve.

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.
