“In February, Finance Minister Bill Morneau projected a deficit for this year of $19 billion. Today we learned it will actually be $26 billion. This is not good fiscal management. “For the last four years, the Trudeau government has consistently piled up debt with no regard to the cost to future generations. “Canadians continue to suffer the consequences of the Liberals’ broken promise to balance the budget. The government’s plan is adding another $100 billion in additional debt and still doesn’t include a plan to return to a balanced budget. “This government needs to get the deficit under control as quickly as possible and put an end to its reckless spending spree.”
