Fears of a possible Boko Haram attack have forced African Union leaders to move their summit scheduled for next month from Chad to South Africa.
More than 50 African heads of state and government will gather in Sandton for the week-long 25th AU summit. In January, Chad publicly blamed its withdrawal from hosting the event on tough economic conditions - but South African diplomatic sources say that fear of a possible attack by the terrorist group was the real motive.
