The Border Wall SuperbowlIt will soon be Superbowl Sunday, and maybe for a brief moment in time, politics can take a back seat to an overindulgence of food and drink, funny commercials and a spectacle surpassing any put on in the ancient Colosseum. Now imagine a different kind of Superbowl, where eleven conservative apologists line up against eleven leftists radicals to answer questions based on the facts surrounding the pros and cons of constructing a barrier to secure the southern border of The United States. The stadium would be filled with independent spectators. And each of the twenty-two participants would be given a chance to respond to questions asked and scored by an advanced artificial intelligent computer dealing with fundamental truths.
As a conservative political commentator, Ben Shapiro wisely stated after he was assaulted on the "Dr. Drew on Call" show by transgender Zoe Tur, "facts don't care about your feelings." And in that regard, having to deal with reality and facts and without their weapons of the propagandized media, the manipulation of emotions, and name-calling, the left would be at a significant disadvantage in this kind of contest. Picture Nancy Pelosi disputing the overwhelming evidence that walls and fences are central to border security or Chuck Schumer reasoning how open borders and sanctuary cities make Americans safer. Point after point the left's arguments would be decimated by a fact-based computer system having little regard for hysterics or bullying. The stadium's spectators, without the media's biased interruptions, would witness the left's hypocrisy, inconsistencies, and lies. And shortly after the lopsided shutout victory for conservatives flashed across the scoreboard's screen, Pelosi, Schumer, and the rest of the other leftist participants would stomp their feet, shout obscenities and storm out of the stadium and into the real world they are quickly transforming into a socialist, lawless hell. This kind of Superbowl would shed light on the reality that liberals would never even entertain the idea of putting their beliefs against historical and empirical facts. Leftists only engage in debate when they know they can muddy the waters with lying, and relying on media bias to back them up. Pelosi and Schumer's infantile rantings would be comical if they weren't so dangerous. We would probably laugh at the Democratic House and Senate leaders as any adult laughs at a child's innocent albeit nonsensical demands. But the fact is that Pelosi and Schumer are not innocent children and their foolish demands and silly responses have life and death consequences and pose a real danger to the health and safety of the country.

Rick Hayes -- Bio and Archives | Comments

Rick Hayes lives in the epicenter of liberal land where reality and truth will never encounter a welcome mat.

An award-winning writer and photographer, with over twenty years of professional experience in both fields, Hayes started his journalism adventure after a successful, eye-opening career as a Banker in Wall Street.  Although he spent his early work life surrounded by custom made shirts, expensive ties and the shiniest of shoes, Hayes was an accomplished singer, cutting a few records with a local band and appearing on one of the first cable shows.

Working for a weekly New York paper, in one of the most politically corrupt areas in the State, he began investing his time trying to understand the nature of corruption.
