The Western Hemisphere, the United States of America, and the rest of the world are now learning some new lessons. These are lessons previous presidents should have taught but failed to do due to a lack of intestinal fortitude. The difference is that President Trump is going to do what is right for America in America and what is right for the world from the American perspective. When an American President focuses on doing the right thing, American citizens will stand with him/her until the very end.

President Donald Trump is “the new sheriff in town”

Since 1900, there have been three presidents who focused on doing the right thing, politics be damned. Teddy Roosevelt. Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump are those presidents. Reagan and Trump proved my point when Reagan won 49 states in his second election, and Donald Trump won both the popular vote and Electoral College in his second election. Doing what’s right is always a winning formula. And keeping promises made, is always a winning formula.

For more than 100 years, and particularly in the last 50 years, socialist Democrats have promised utopia but have only delivered misery, massive homelessness, record breaking crime, and unbelievable levels of corruption. However, some of this was due to passiveness and listlessness from the old Republican Party. I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that as much as a quarter of the current 38.578 trillion-dollar debt could be attributed to 50 years of massive corruption. We must not forget that nearly 20 trillion dollars of that debt was accumulated during the Obama and Biden administrations.

Times, they are a changin.’ President Donald Trump is “the new sheriff in town” and is laser focused on doing the right things for America and the world. Times, they are a changin’ because now a new media in America that is willing and able to pick up the investigative ball that mainstream media dropped 40 years ago. The new media is embarrassing the old-time mainstream media who choose to become the propaganda arm of the socialist Democrat Party, and it is about time.

The curtain has been thrown back on the Democrat wizards

The curtain has been thrown back on the Democrat wizards, and America is discovering just how much of a criminal fraud the socialist Democrat Party is and always has been. The jig is up. The criminal nature of the Washington Beltway bandits is on full display. So far, 50 of them have announced that they will not run for reelection hoping to sidestep criminal indictments that are likely on the near horizon--rats leaving a sinking ship. Times, they are a changin,’ and accountability has become a thing. And boy, oh boy, is America ready for it.

Speaking of rats leaving a sinking ship, I wonder how many of these “retiring public servants” (he laughingly said), will self deport to countries with no extradition treaty with the United States of America? More than a few I expect. It would not surprise me if some governors and other state official see the writing on the wall and head for those counties too with their bank accounts intact. Times, they are a changin’ because law and order is a thing now too.

"Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government." ~ James Madison

Sometimes the truth is extremely hard to comprehend and accept. The corruption Elon Musk and DOGE uncovered was shocking to most Americans.

What has become glaringly obvious is that the United States government is not capable of managing charities

For Americans to realize that well-intentioned international charitable efforts were that corrupt set us back on our heels. Now here we are in 2026 finding out that domestic government charitable efforts represent even greater corruption is mind staggering. And we have only seen the tip of the iceberg. What has become glaringly obvious is that the United States government is not capable of managing charities as was anticipated by James Madison.

"One great error is that we suppose mankind more honest than they are." ~ Alexander Hamilton

The only logical solution to charity fraud is to get the federal government out of the charity business. Charities are better managed at the local level by churches and other small businesses set up for the sole purpose of charity. Moreover, at the local level the amounts of money charities deal with are less susceptible to misappropriation.

"The more things a government undertakes to do, the fewer things it can do completely (competently). When the government tries to do everything it must do everything badly." ~ Henry Hazlitt, (competently) added by author.

These are examples of the fact that when government tries to do everything for everybody, it ends up doing everything for everybody damn poorly. Times are changing, and Americans want the government to govern and not be involved in the redistribution of taxpayer money for non-governmental purposes.
