TOWN AND COUNTRY
Tramping through the
sweet-grass
to the swimming-hole
sitting on the river bank
with my fishing pole
swinging on the oak tree
splashing in the creek
running in the wildwood
playing hide-and-seek
Now I'm in the fast-lane
hustling all the day
those simple rural
pleasures
seem so far away
enduring the urban jungle
doing as best I can
the man is in the fast-lane
but the slow lane's in the
man.
