Trump Now!

The attempt to assassinate President Trump this weekend crystallized thoughts in the minds of many. It is not Donald Trump and the patriots in MAGA who are the enemies of democracy, but rather those who have been calling for years for the violent removal of their political opponents. That is not democracy! Those are the cries of the ones who hate democracy--who cannot stand the thought that others might disagree with them.

We already confront a crisis of leadership with a senile pretender to the office of President who has brought the country to the brink of ruin with destructive economic policies, warmongering abroad, irresponsible spending, unrestricted immigration, weaponization of the government against its citizens, a two tier system of 'justice', and divisive violent rhetoric leading to this weekend's event. He has only been saved from removal by the even worse alternative of a Vice President who could not lead a kindergarten class, much less a country.

It is manifestly obvious to anyone who has been paying attention, that manipulation of the 2020 election resulted in the wrong candidate being declared the winner. The result of that criminal error has almost destroyed a vibrant, once prosperous country that was an example and a hope for all the world.

It is time to correct that error. Congress must act to remove both the Pretender and his Protector immediately before any more damage is done. Yes, we are only four months from the election, and six months from a new President taking office, but that is more than ample time to complete the destruction of this once great Nation. Do we need to wait for a global war, or some manufactured domestic crisis to act?

Either form a caretaker government to stop the damage and begin reconstruction, or appoint Donald Trump President pro tem to complete the term he should have had. Our citizens have been patient and long suffering, willing to abide by an illegitimate administration until the situation could be corrected by the normal processes of our democratic Republic. It is the actions of those unwilling to admit their error—who would seek to retain power by any means possible, including violence and murder—that has brought us to this point. We are better than that!

The situation of an incompetent leader coupled with a corrupt administration that promotes violence to remain in power is unprecedented in our history. We have no examples to draw on to follow, but that is the nature of history. Every time of crisis, every defining moment is unique and demanding of a response that will be judged only by the future. Will we remain a nation of free people—the home of the brave, or will we cower before those who would use violence and intimidation to get their way?

We have come to the crossroads of the path of freedom and honor, with the road of submission and defeat. Which shall we chose? May God guide our choice.
