Trump's State of the Union: Strong on American Values, Exposes Anti-American LeftA few months ago I saw a documentary where a Mexican woman who lost her 21-year-old son to cartel violence stated, "Without truth, there can be no justice." A statement so profoundly obvious and charged with wisdom and yet completely lost on today's political culture. President Trump's one hour and twenty-one minute State of the Union speech reached across the aisle and offered something for everyone even as Democrat women sat dressed in white and angrily starring ahead with hands folded while periodically Pelosi awkwardly stood up reading a stack of documents as the President spoke.

Pelosi could be seen holding up her hand as if to tell her fellow fanatics to calm down

One by one, Trump read a long list of achievements his administration had accomplished. They included the ongoing negotiations with North Korea, low unemployment numbers, and high participation numbers of women in the workplace, yet it was the wall that elicited the most vigorous response by Democrats even though their positions are so outrageous and ludicrous that they stun the rational mind. It was the 96th time a President addressed a joint session of Congress and Trump has his work cut out for him. Nevertheless, he unapologetically displayed his love of county and proudly presented his honored guests in the audience who were war heroes as well as some who were recipients of past American accomplishments including the liberation of Jews from Nazi concentration camps. The President didn't forget the victims as he recognized those in the audience who had lost family members to a decades-old failed border policy. And each time he spoke of the facts regarding the wall, a rumble could be heard from the Democrat side of the room as Pelosi could be seen holding up her hand as if to tell her fellow fanatics to calm down.

Democrats have taken up residence in crazy town and avoided the truth to keep in step with the radical herd

In his effort to inform Congress and the nation, the 45th President approached the border wall issue head-on and precisely pointed out the benefits of having a physical barrier. However, the barrier in the way of an agreement can only be interpreted as either a severe form of delusion or an unethical political drive knowing no limits, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Charles Schumer have maintained with a straight face, that both walls or fences don't work regarding national security or are immoral. In the real world, the world where the sun rises and sets it is sadly evident that regarding border security and American safety, many Democrats have taken up residence in crazy town and avoided the truth to keep in step with the radical herd. Last night was perhaps the Presidents best display in diplomacy, but it remains to be seen with only a few days left with the original temporary 3-week extension if Trump was successful in giving Pelosi and Schumer a face-saving path to allow the wall to be properly funded.

Rick Hayes lives in the epicenter of liberal land where reality and truth will never encounter a welcome mat.

An award-winning writer and photographer, with over twenty years of professional experience in both fields, Hayes started his journalism adventure after a successful, eye-opening career as a Banker in Wall Street.  Although he spent his early work life surrounded by custom made shirts, expensive ties and the shiniest of shoes, Hayes was an accomplished singer, cutting a few records with a local band and appearing on one of the first cable shows.

Working for a weekly New York paper, in one of the most politically corrupt areas in the State, he began investing his time trying to understand the nature of corruption.
