"I think myself that we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious. Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases. The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." ~ Thomas JeffersonGovernment grants are paid with money confiscated from taxpayers
Government grants are paid with money confiscated from taxpayers to fund an unknown number of agencies worldwide. Basically, the government is spending money confiscated from working American taxpayers to bribe others in America and foreign countries. This is yet another form of redistribution of wealth, even the wealth of people who are not wealthy. Welfare is another way the government uses the money confiscated from taxpayers, even though charity is not one of the enumerated powers granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution. This is just one more form of redistribution of wealth, even the wealth of people who are not wealthy."No generation has a right to contract debts greater than can be paid off during the course of its own existence." ~ Thomas Jefferson
