When Good People Do Nothing

For the last half-century We the People, in America and Canada, adapted to a reality where our world was good enough, and we were pretty comfortable in our surroundings. Then sadly, in the last couple of years, we have awakened to find ourselves shocked at the world Joe Biden/Kamala Harris and Justin Trudeau have given us. Well, duh!

Most Canadians and Americans are good people. Yet for over a half-century too many of us stood by silently, watching as our respective governments devolved into the train wrecks they are today. Evil has now deeply infiltrated the governments on both sides of our common border. Too many of We the People have been silent in the face of that evil.

It is a well-known and acknowledged fact that history repeats itself. We are very much in the same position as the German people found themselves in during the 1930s. We have one political faction controlling the press and trying to censor free speech. We have one political faction using government resources against their political opponents. We have one political faction creating divisions in the population and having them harass their political opponents. We have one political faction that is telling us the only truth is what they decide is truth. Do you recognize this? Is this America and Canada today? In Nazi Germany, the end result was the gas chambers. Are We the People going to continue down this road in 2024, or are we going to nip this thing in the bud?

In America, We the People have the opportunity to change the course of the present evil in just a few days. November 5, 2024, gives Americans the opportunity to begin exterminating the evil political cancer that exists in North America. Curing political cancer is just as hard as curing any other cancer; it won’t happen overnight. However, we can start the long slog to cure the political evil by electing as many Republicans as possible on November 5^th.

Burke and Bonhoeffer have provided us with wisdom. Are we wise enough to short circuit this particular repetition of history? Make sure you vote, because not to vote is the same as voting for the status quo.

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
