By all means capture carbon monoxide, a truly dangerous and toxic gas! But the article is about expensive, useless research to capture harmless carbon dioxide which poses no problem to mankind nor to the global climate.
What we really need to “capture” are more congressmen and journalists who have at least a modest knowledge of science, who can think logically, and who can put aside their own agenda long enough to explore scientific truth!
The earth has experienced many ice ages followed by warm periods. Global warming causes the oceans to warm which causes dissolved carbon dioxide gas to be emitted into the atmosphere. The result is a modest increase in atmospheric concentration of CO2. The unassailable scientific truth is that ocean warming is the cause and increased concentration of atmospheric CO2 is the result. Al Gore’s inverse conjecture is false and no logical basis for the disruption of our economy and the waste of resources on useless research. Surely my alma mater can find useful research projects to pursue.
