The sophistication, wealth and military might of Islamic State militants represent a major threat to the United States that may surpass that once posed by al Qaeda, U.S. military leaders said on Thursday. "They are an imminent threat to every interest we have, whether it's in Iraq or anywhere else," Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel told reporters at the Pentagon. "They are beyond just a terrorist group. They marry ideology, a sophistication of ... military prowess. They are tremendously well-funded. This is beyond anything we've seen.""Beyond anything we have seen,” Mr. Hagel? Combined with events involving Ukraine and Russia and between Russia and America, the Syrian civil war, the ongoing Israel-Palestine wars, the barbaric presence of ISIS, invasions at the US-Mexico borders, and flare ups in cities like Ferguson, Missouri, one wonders exactly how Barack Obama develops his world views? Can America survive two more years of such idiotic self-delusional, infantile thinking from the Commander-in-Chief? John W. Lillpop San Jose, California
John W. Lillpop is a recovering liberal. “Clean and sober” since 1992 when last he voted for a Democrat. For years, John lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, the very liberal sanctuary city which protects, rather than prosecutes, certain favored criminals. John escaped the Bay Area in May and now lives in Pine Grove California where conservative values are still in vogue.
