Wrestling With A Pig In The Mud

As an old farm boy, I learned many, many years ago that you don’t wrestle with a pig in the mud. Today we find America wrestling with a figurative pig in the mud as we try to come to terms with the radical Islamist government in the nation of Iran.

We have tried for the last 47 years to treat and deal with Iran a if they had our western civilization value standards. How has that worked out? They don’t share our values, they will never share are values, and until we accept that reality, we can never come to terms. Not once in 47 years has there been an agreement, based on western values, that has been honored by the radical Islamists in control of Iran. Not once!

The reason you don’t wrestle with a pig in the mud is because the pig loves it. The radical Islamist Mullahs of Iran love the western ways of negotiating because it continues to allow them to bide their time and wear down their western enemies. They wore America down twice and two of our useful idiot Presidents tried to bribe them with billions and billions of dollars. How did that work out?

Since World War II, America has tried conducting “humane” wars. How well has that worked out? Korea, Viet Nam, and the middle east, not so well. War is killing people and breaking things. That is the war radical Islamists are conducting all over the world with Christians being their main target. On 9/11, the radical Islamists brought that war to our doorstep and ever since then we’ve been trying to “nice” our way out of it. How well has that worked out?

The only practical way to rectify our problem in Iran is to crush the Iranian economy by bombing until the Kurds and Persian people are strong enough to affect the necessary regime change. I believe anything less is delusional on our part.

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
