Kamala Harris may be the most frightening candidate for president I have witnessed in my lifetime

One of the greatest political speeches ever given was delivered by Ronald Reagan during the 1964 presidential election cycle. The speech—A Time For Choosing—outlined in very clear terms what was happening to the country during that time when a true conservative like Barry Goldwater was running for president. Reagan made it clear that socialism was on the march, that the granny state was hollowing out America and that government was the problem, not the answer.
For those of you who are Reagan aficionados, you probably memorized the speech, remembering how prescient his words were in describing exactly what has happened to our nation since LBJ’s Great Society washed ashore in the Potomac basin. Even during Reagan’s presidency, he could not stop the inexorable march of socialism in our schools and then in other institutions upon which we depended. It seemed that Reagan and his small band of conservative warriors were only able to slow the flow indoctrination and propaganda, never really ever stopping the erosion of American idealism and exceptionalism.
Today, we are faced with serious issues that, if not corrected, will leave a country for our children and grandchildren that will be bereft of the endless possibilities that so many of us enjoyed in our lives. If circumstances are not changed, future generations of Americans will have government control every single aspect of their lives. They will be told where they can go to school, what job they can have and where they must live. Any possible potential for choice—the most powerful word in the English language—will be eliminated as an option. Government will be the means to all ends in American life. Oh, how insightful was George Orwell.
Kamala Harris is a card-carrying socialist and Tim Walz is a perfect wingman. Remember that socialism is an economic system where the state controls certain elements of the means of production. If Harris is president and she has a democrat congress, you can rest assured that healthcare, energy, agriculture and all of education will be totally controlled by the national government. Transportation, banking and defense are also industries that will likely be taken over. The government won’t have to take over the media, because it already has.
If Harris gets her way, the states will simply be vassals of the national government, doing as they are told. The Bill of Rights will be reworked, the courts will be packed and dissent will be harshly dealt with. If you think I am wrong, just school up on her positions over time and her actions when in office.
Kamala Harris may be the most frightening candidate for president I have witnessed in my lifetime. Barack Obama was scary enough, but at least he was pretty politically astute. I do not give Kamala Harris the same level of awareness. In fact, I do not think she is that smart, but she is smart enough to wreck the American Constitution. The time for action is NOW. Talk to everyone you know to spread the word.
