Advance voters turn out in large numbers

Back in the 2006 election, 34,046 people voted in the weekend advance poll while only 31,700 turned out to vote in 2003.

Toronto voters have turned out in record numbers to cast their ballots in the advanced polls. The city announced Monday that a total of 77,397 people voted in the weekday and weekend advanced polls — that’s up dramatically from the 2006 advanced poll turnout of just 42,413.
