The latest public exhumation of the JFK assassination is underway.
After sixty-two years, will it finally yield the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
The U.S. Army Medic:
When he heard that several members of the local contingent of South Vietnamese Irregular Defense Guard (IRG) had been ambushed by “Charlie” (Viet Cong), he asked the young Sergeant if he’d go with him to view the bodies.
Four were laid out in a row, on concrete, beneath a tin roof, three feet apart.
The Medic asked, “You see that one?” He pointed to the body second from the left. “That’s the classic head wound. A small hole going in. A big hole coming out.”
A few weeks later…
The Vietnamese Interpreter: He told the young Sergeant he’d heard a Viet Cong solider had been killed down a dirt road, two clicks away, during the night. The interpreter asked if the young sergeant would drive him there.
Together they bounced down a bumpy road in an ancient Jeep with gears that no longer required the use of a clutch.
A handful of local citizens stood near the body. The only evidence of a military uniform on the deceased was a green web belt. No weapon.
The bullet had entered the left side of his neck, and exited the right side. Small hole going in. Big hole coming out.
An old woman nearby began chattering, clearly angry about something. The interpreter silenced her with a sharp angry voice. The young Sergeant still wonders what she said.
A few years earlier…
The Desperate Wife: Jacqueline Kennedy crawled out on the hood of the limousine’s trunk, desperate to retrieve some of her husband’s brain. The valiant act of a brave woman.
So, now, will America finally learn how and why JFK died that day?
Or, will that tragic event slide back in among unsolved mysteries?
All governments lie; some are just better at it than others.
