“It is very clear that the mastermind behind wiping all those hard drives was, up until these revelations became very public, done by someone who was under the employment of Kathleen Wynne.”Police allege that Faist is the individual hired last winter to illegally wipe computers clean in the Premier’s office, to cover-up the Liberal gas plant scandal. Wynne has denied any link to the scandal. However, she wasn’t in Question Period today when her direct connection to Faist was brought to light.
“This adds an entirely new element to a political scandal that has rocked the province. I think it raises more questions for Premier Wynne, who by the way wasn’t here today to answer any of those questions. So she’d better be here tomorrow because we have a lot more for her.”The auditor general has estimated that the gas plant scandal cost taxpayers as much as $1.1 billion.
