Andrews Air Force base on lockdown due to report of active shooter

All personnel have been directed to shelter in place at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County as officials investigate a report of an active shooter, according to the base’s official Twitter account. The shelter order was posted shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday. Officials said the incident was occurring at the Malcolm Grow Medical Facility and first responders were at the scene.
