Anti-Muslim Hymn Becomes Best-Selling Single In Germany

An instrumental hymn released by a German anti-Muslim group jumped Adele’s wildly successful single “Hello” Tuesday to become the most purchased song on Amazon.

The hymn, titled “Gemeinsam sind wir stark!” (“Together we are strong!”), was released in October by Patriotische Europäer gegen die Islamisierung des Abendlandes, or Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the Occident (PEGIDA), in recognition of the anti-Muslim group’s one year anniversary. Amazon started selling the track Dec. 21, and it has been steadily climbing the top 100 list since Christmas. Read more:
